Updated | By Noxolo Miya
One suspect linked to Thabo Bester's prison escape scandal was granted bail with conditions.
Thabang Mier, Joel Makhetha and Moeketsi Ramolula briefly appeared in Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The trio assisted Bester in unlawfully walking out of Mangaung Correctional Centre a year ago.
They were arrested at their homes a week ago.

The latest arrests bring the number to 12 people involved, including the famous Doctor Nandipha Mgudumana.
Mier got R10 000 bail and will return to court on 8 August for further investigations.
"The release is on condition,” magistrate Estelle de Lange said in her ruling.
“The first condition is that you must appear at half past eight in the morning, and you must stay present until your name is called. You may not communicate with the list of witnesses that are now attached to the charge. If you fail to comply with these conditions, your bail will be forfeited, and we will keep you in custody until the matter is finalised."
The case against the other two, Makhetha and Ramolula, has been postponed to next week.
