Another body discovered in uMthwalume's South Coast
Another body has been discovered in the Umthwalume area in the province's South Coast this morning.
KZN police say they have been alerted of the discovery and are working to get to the bottom of it. It is unclear as yet wether this morning's discovery is related in any way to the recent murders which saw the bodies of 5 women dumped at a sugarcane field.
The incident happened during the earlier stages of lockdown and has left residents of the South Coast living in fear.
The police's Jay Naicker says work is underway to establish an identity.
"Passersby on route to work came across the body lying on the side of the road burnt beyond recognition and covered in plastic", he said.
"At this stage we cannot say whether it is that of a male or female. Indications are that the victim was murdered elsewhere with body dumped there", Naicker said.
