#AdamCatzavelos: 'Spouse, children's privacy should be considered'

A social media law expert says that reactions to South Africa's latest online racism case has taken a new turn, in that it inadvertently affects those closest to the instigator.
Social media users have called for a boycott on St George's Fine Foods, the family business of Adam Catzavelos who used the K-word while in a video on an overseas beach vacation.
The entrepreneur's family members have also been named.
Social media law expert, Emma Sadlier says there are questions raised around doxing and the publishing of personal information.
According to a statement initialed by his brother, Nic, Catzavelos has since been fired with immediate effect from their family business.Nedbank which hosted a business programme in 2014, which Catzavelos has been linked to, also distanced itself from the video.
DA Youth, the EFF and social activist, Tumi Sole have since approached the South African Human Rights Commission.
Sadlier says crimen injuria charges are expected to be laid.
"I would imagine that crimen injuria charges will belaid. I think the EFF has announced that they're going to lay charges - crimen injuria - which is serious infringement of human dignity. It's the criminal charge laid against Vicki Momberg and Penny Sparrow.
"I believe the Human Rights Commission has received a number of complaints and have announced that they are going to investigate and take this matter to the Equality Court," Sadlier said.
Sole took to Twitter to announce that he had lodged a complaint with the SAHRC. Sole has described the video as an attack on all black people.
"Racism is violent and as a result, he has infringed on my rights to dignity and to be treated fairly. I would like to see this case attended to and prosecuted," he said.
And I’ve just lodged my complaint on the @SAHRCommission website
