The KZN Education Department says all systems are in place for over 36 000 learners who are rewriting their matric exams in the province.
It's under the National Basic Education Department's Second Chance Programme.
KZN Education's Muzi Mahlambi says it affects those who did not pass matric or who wish to better their previous results.

Mahlambi says the examinations which began on Wednesday will run throughout the months of May and June.
"Also encourage them to please turnout for these examinations because most of the time they will register in numbers but the turn to write is very low which then gives us no hope that they will ever make it."
