Tamia is returning to Durban: "I can't wait to be back"

"One thing about my girl, she will never exclude us." Tamia's South African fans are thrilled to have her back in Mzansi.

Canadian R&B icon Tamia has announced she will perform in three South African cities, including Durban, during her upcoming tour.

Her Durban show is taking place at the ICC on Friday, August 7. Tamia will also be making stops in Cape Town and Pretoria.

"South Africa. I can't wait to be back to sing with you this August. Tickets are on sale now [at] tamiaworld.com," she wrote on Instagram.

Tamia has been to South Africa on several occasions in the past, and Durbanites are thrilled that she always includes the city in her concerts - unlike some other international stars.

"We have a date... yet again, sis," one Instagram user wrote. A second person said: "Can’t wait to see you in KZN."

A third Tamia fan commented: "One thing about my girl, she will never exclude us."

Many also say they can't wait to welcome Tamia back home, while others say they will be seeing her for a second time.

South Africans are big fans of R&B and old-school love jams. Durbanites grew up listening to Tamia, Deborah Cox, SWV, TLC, Boyz II Men, Whitney Houston, Jagged Edge, Luther Vandross, Mary J. Blige and more.

Boyz II Men are also set to return to SA in 2026. They'll be performing in Cape Town and Pretoria in May.
