Store bans creepy Halloween prop

Tis the season to be scary, but not too scary according to Home Depot customers.

A store in America put a Halloween prop on its shelves so creepy that people complained that it gave them the heebie-jeebies.

Like scores of stores in the US, and around the world, Home Depot has been stocking up on scary props ahead of Halloween later this month.

But the company was forced to pull its Scary Pepper Creeper Halloween decoration after receiving numerous complaints.

The “creepy” prop is of a life-size human head with a pair of hands cupped around his face.

The man’s hair is covered with a hoodie. He also looks like he is in some desperate need of a dentist visit.

The prop is described as being "perfect for scaring friends and family during Halloween or any other time of the year”.

It even gives tips on how you can scare the pants off people.

“Hang facing out to freak out trick-or-treaters during Halloween or mount him facing in to scare unsuspecting guests at your Halloween party."

Home Depot told CBC it takes their complaints seriously, and decided to remove the creepy hooded man from all its stores.

“We agree that this is not in line with our core values, and when we heard, took immediate action,” Home Depot said in a statement.

Would you be scared silly if you saw this prop hanging from someone’s door at night?
