Riky Rick is known for his unique sense of style, but some of his fans think he has taken his love for fashion one step too far this time.

The 'Boss Zonke' rapper wore a stylish knee-length "skirt" during a recent appearance on 'Live Amp'.

The Maxhosa by Laduma outfit was reportedly inspired by an iBeshu - a rear apron made from calf skin, usually worn by Zulu men.

Here's a look at the outfit on the runway. Riky described the look as "beautiful".

We think Riky Rick looks all kinds of amazing in the Vogue-worthy outfit, but his fans were not feeling it.

Some of them went as far as questioning his sexuality. Apparently Riky's sense of style is not "gangsta" enough for a rapper.

"A dress dawg, because u just tryna prove a fashion statement. Come 2019 you'll see some rap Niqqaz rocking dresses Lana emzansi. Kanye, Young Thug and Jaden Smith did it. This is what we call culture or are we just misleading the masses," one Twitter user wrote.

Another added: "He knows what he is doing, dig deep why he is wearing a dress and you'll be shocked with what these celebrities do for fame. Go to Youtube for clues. Just type why celebs wear skirts/dresses or dye their hair blonde. Thank me later."

One Riky fan tried to point out that black men in Africa have traditionally worn skirt-like outfits for centuries, but Twitter users were having none of it.

Here's what some of them had to say:

But Riky Rick is unfazed by the hate.

"I’m very comfortable in my skin and in what I decide to wear. I’m aware that the feedback is something I’ll never be able to control. Being called gay because of my fashion choices has been happening for many years, and it will never change the way I view fashion,” he told Sowetan.
