Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, have released their annual holiday family portrait.

Royal fans eagerly await the couple's Christmas card, and this year was no different.

The royal couple, who are parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, opted for a relaxed, outdoor theme for their 2025 picture.

The family is pictured in matching casual outfits while sitting on the grass surrounded by white and yellow flowers.

"Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas," their official Instagram page captioned the image.

The Prince and Princess of Wales' followers flooded the comments with well-wishes, with many praising the "beautiful family" and their "lovely photo".

"What a wonderful, lovely family! So happy to see you all. May your holidays be merry and bright," one person wrote.

However, Prince William and Princess Catherine's Christmas card was not without controversy. Like the family's previous holiday snaps, social media users scrutinised every inch of it.

The couple has been accused of heavily editing their pictures in the past, resulting in missing fingers and legs. Their 2023 Christmas card Photoshop fail comes to mind.

In 2024, the royal family was accused of photoshopping Catherine into a Mother's Day photo. It did not help that the princess had not been seen in public for months, and the image only added fuel to conspiracies about her "disappearance".

Catherine, who considers herself an "amateur photographer", admitted to experimenting with editing after several media agencies issued a "photo kill" message for the picture.

She later revealed her shocking cancer diagnosis. The family's latest Christmas card has also been accused of being edited.

"Catherine looks photoshopped in," an Instagram user said. "Something looks off," a second person replied.

Reddit users also shared their thoughts. "Kate looks like she was added in the photo. Her hand seems like she’s wearing a different shirt and isn’t even holding Prince George, it’s around something else. It’s so bizarre."

Others were not impressed with the "boring and fake" picture, while some accused them of "cosplaying the middle-class farmer family look".

Others pointed out that the picture was not new and looks similar to ones shared on Father's Day.

Geez, Prince William and Princess Catherine can't win when it comes to their family portraits.

Uhm, happy holidays!?
