Former Mrs South Africa Joani Jacobs takes over the reins from Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala as the new CEO of Miss Supranational South Africa.
Miss Supranational South Africa announced the new team that will be leading the organisation, with former Mrs South Africa Joani Jacobs taking over as National Director and CEO.
In an announcement made on Thursday, the organisation revealed that the team behind the Miss South Africa organisation will take the helm of Miss Supranational South Africa under the new directorship of Jacobs.
The organisation explained that Miss Supranational is more than just a competition. It aims to provide women with a platform to grow, discover their purpose and use their influence positively.
Jacobs takes over the reins from Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala and brings more than 20 years of experience in the pageant and modelling industry.
She is also the founder of Ace Models International and was named Woman of Stature CEO of the Year in 2025.
“I want Miss Supranational South Africa to be a meaningful platform where women are seen, developed and given the opportunity to grow, discover their purpose and use their influence positively,” she said.
“Ultimately, we will prepare one exceptional woman to carry our nation onto this incredible international stage - authentic, aspirational, inspirational and proudly South African.”
Jacobs added that she is excited about the opportunity and hopes to make South African queens proud.
She will work alongside chairperson Matapa Maila and other members of the newly announced team.
Representing South Africa on the international stage
The reigning Miss Supranational South Africa is Shannon Benting, who represented the country at the international Miss Supranational pageant in Poland in June.
Reflecting on her experience, Bentin said the journey was about more than winning a crown.
She described representing South Africa as one of the greatest honours of her life, adding that the experience was challenging and inspiring.
According to Bentin, the journey reminded her of the true beauty found in purpose, kindness and simply showing up.
"Representing South Africa on the @misssupranational @officialmistersupranational stage has been one of the greatest honours of our lives. Every moment has challenged us, inspired us, and reminded us that true beauty is found in purpose, kindness, and the courage to keep showing up," she wrote on Instagram.
