Britney Spears has opened up about what her fans can expect from her upcoming memoir. The 40-year-old has reportedly been offered $15-million (R219-million) to write her memoir, 'Let's Talk About It'.

In a revealing post on Instagram - which she has since deleted - Britney told her followers that she is ready to open up about her tumultuous past.

"I’m writing a book at the moment and as it’s actually healing and therapeutic…it’s also hard bringing up past events in my life…I’ve never been able to express openly!" she wrote.

The 'Oops I Did It Again' hitmaker also addressed her recent controversial posts in which she slams members of her family over the pain she endured during her conservatorship.

She also gave her former boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, an interesting shout-out.

"I can only imagine that I do sound childish but I was extremely young when the events took place... But instead of using my heart, I’m using the intellectual approach as Justin did when he apologized to Janet [Jackson] and me. Although he was never bullied or threatened by his family, he took the opportunity to apologize 20 years later!!! Timing is EVERYTHING!!!" Britney wrote.

Justin apologised to Britney and Janet in early 2021 for the times in his life where "his actions contributed to the problem". The 'SexyBack' singer was famously involved in a shocking incident at the 2004 Super Bowl.

Justin accidentally exposed Janet's nipple during the performance, but the 'That's The Way Love Goes' singer took all the heat.

Justin was also slammed for how he handled his 2002 break-up with Britney - which many believe contributed to her public breakdown several years later.

Britney appears to be in better spirits after a judge ended her nearly 13-year conservatorship. She is engaged to model and actor, Sam Asghari.

The couple was recently visited by fashion designer, Donatella Versace, who is reportedly designing Britney's wedding dress.

The singer has also hinted that she would like to have a third child.
