Barbra Streisand praises triple threat Ariana Grande
Music icon Barbra Streisand says Ariana Grande has a "beautiful voice like no one else".
They were born more than 50 years apart, but Barbra Streisand and Ariana Grande have become close friends.
Streisand took to her official Instagram page to sing Grande's praises for the world to see.
"Ariana is a young woman with an amazing talent. She has a beautiful voice like no one else, and so much more," Streisand wrote.The 83-year-old also noted that Grande has many other talents. "She can act, she can dance, she can be funny! She’s also sweet, kind and thoughtful."
The 'Thank U, Next' hitmaker is seen as a triple threat in the entertainment industry as she can sing, act and have a third talent such as dancing.
Other artists who are considered triple threats include Lady Gaga, Jamie Foxx, Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez and Usher.
Grande and Streisand reportedly have a years-long friendship. They first met in 2019 when the pair teamed up to perform a duet at one of Streidand's concerts.
Shortly after the performance, Streisand took to Instagram to write, "Made a new friend." Grande is also a big Streisand fan, revealing in 2013 that she would like to follow in her footsteps.
"A lot of my friends are partiers, but I've never really clicked with that. I like Barbra Streisand, and when was the last time you saw Babs getting, like, turnt up? That's kind of the road that I, as a lady, would like to go down," she said, per Broadway World.
Streisand and Grande teamed up again in 2025, this time with Mariah Carey. The trio recorded 'One Heart One Voice' for Streisand's album, 'The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two'.
"I’m very proud of you Ariana," Streisand continued, "And thanks for singing with me on my album."
She adds that Grande did a "wonderful" job as the recent celebrity host of 'Saturday Night Live' and "looked so pretty". Streisand's kind words touched 32-year-old Grande.
"Barbra !!!!!!!! what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness," she commented. "You made my day, my year, my life!"
Grande says Streisand's post was the kindest surprise.
"This means so much, coming from you. I just love you so. I miss you and I hope I get to hug you soon… all my love and appreciation. Thank you."
