Home Affairs keeps doors open on Local Elections day
Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba says their offices in all provinces will be opened from 7am-7pm tomorrow in order for those without an ID or temporary ID to pick them up and vote.
Speaking at the Home Affairs offices on Umgeni Road in Durban earlier today, Gigaba said their staff have already applied for special votes and some of them have already cast their votes allowing them to assist members of the public tomorrow.
Newswatch caught up with some of those who said their main reason for picking up today is because of elections tomorrow.
The minister made his way to the Pinetown Home Affairs offices to observe collection of ids and temporary ids.
