Free State Cheetahs won in the Currie Cup this afternoon. They drilled Griquas 63-26 in Bloemfontein. The Cheetahs will host the Golden Lions in the Currie Cup semi-finals.

The other semi-final will see the Vodacom Blue Bulls at home to Western Province.
More rugby news is that Free State have won the Under-17 Interprovincial Sevens title.
Free State beat the Blue Bulls 35-12 in the final at Durban High School.

Chelsea have won their English Premiership match at Hull City.
Willian and Diego Costa netted for Chelsea in a 2-0 victory.
Liverpool had earlier secured a 2-1 victory at Swansea City.
Roberto Firmino and James Milner scored for the Reds at Liberty Stadium.

Sunderland 1 West Bromwich Albion 1, Watford 2 Bournemouth 2 and West Ham United 1 Middlesbrough 1.
Steven Pienaar is injured and did not feature for Sunderland against the Baggies.

Rosberg tops the championship standings.
He is eight points clear of nearest rival Hamilton.

New Zealand have ended day two of the second Test against India on 128 for seven.
New Zealand are replying to the Indian first innings effort of 316 in Kolkata.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has done the bulk of the damage for India.
Kumar has taken five for 33.
Cheteshwar Pujara had earlier top scored for India with 87.
This is the second of three Tests.
India lead the series 1-0.

Petra Kvitova has claimed the title at the Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open tennis tournament.
Kvitova hammered Dominika Cibulkova 6-1 6-1 in the final in China.
