UCT identifies offensive t-shirt culprit
Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
The University of Cape Town has strongly condemned acts that incite violence or promote hate speech.
This after yet another picture has emerged on social media - this time showing a student at a UCT residence - wearing a t-shirt that threatens violence against white people.
The university's Elijah Moholola says he is not a UCT student.
'As a result of this person not being a student, this means he cannot be subject to internal UCT disciplinary action. However, what UCT is going to do is pursue legal channels to ensure that charges are brought to this person," he said.
The university says the matter has been reported to the police and the Human Rights Council and will be laid against the man.
