Probe after body washes up on Sheffield Beach
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
Emergency services have raced to Sheffield Beach on the north coast after receiving reports that a body has washed up on the beach.
Netcare911 says paramedics who responded to the scene discovered that the man had already died before their arrival.
A swimmer went missing in the water near Willards Beach on Tuesday but it is still unclear if today's incident is related.
Netcare911's Chris Botha says the case is being investigated.
"This morning we were called out for a person that washed up on the beach. Paramedics responded and found that the person had already died sometime ago. The SAPS have been called to the scene to investigate the case," he said.
