Musgrave woman fatally stabbed in home invasion

A case of murder has been opened at the Berea Police Station after an elderly woman was stabbed to death during a break-in at her Musgrave home this morning.
Police say two men entered the woman's house on Musgrave Road at about 10am and tied her up.
The robbers took several items from the flat. The woman said to be in her 60s was stabbed before her attackers fled.
Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says a search for the suspects is underway.
"A case of murder as well as house robbery have been opened by the Berea Police Station for further investigation and the suspects fled the scene after the incident. There are no arrests that have been made at this stage," he said.
