Motorist shot on N2, south of Durban

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being shot after his vehicle broke down on the N2 freeway in the vicinity of the M7, south of Durban.
The man's vehicle broke down at about 7.40am.
RescueCare says the man, believed to be in his 50s, sustained a single gunshot wound.
Spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says he was stabilised on scene before being taken to hospital.
Police have confirmed with Newswatch that the man was robbed by two men at gunpoint.

The suspects fled the scene with cash and cellphones.
