Provincial DA leader Zwakele Mncwango has stressed that the party has not agreed to a coalition with the IFP in the province.
Mncwango has been briefing the media on the outcome of the co-governance partnership between the two parties in the at least seven hung municipalities in the province.
He says they are merely there to assist and support IFP municipalities with the parties' councillors working together.
Meanwhile IFP National Chairperson, Blessed Gwala, says they will be entering into co-governance with the EFF and the DA.
"The municipalities where we will co-operate with the DA and EFF include Jozini, Mtubatuba, AbaQulusi, Endumeni, eDumbe and Nquthu plus the three other districts which are possible which is Zululand, uMkhanyakude and uMzinyathi," he said.
While Chairperson of the DA's Federal Executive James Selfe explains what co-governance would mean for residents of KZN.
"In broad outline, those co-governance agreements there is the DA has offered the IFP into power in those municipalities where it can but the DA is not going to take up any executive office in those governments at all," he said.
