Gloire Mapenzi is a soulful singer-songwriter, recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, and live performer. In January 2019, Mapenzi signed with Durban-based record label, Black City Records.
Shortly after, in April 2019, Gloire released his hit debut single, 'Signs', which has received critical acclaim and has been playlisted on major radio stations all around South Africa, including East Coast Radio, Durban Youth Radio, Hot 91.9 FM, Radio Namaqualand, RMR 89.7 FM, Zone Radio, and many others. 'Signs' is also available for download on various music stores.
Originally from the DRC, Gloire is a self-taught musician who started playing guitar at the age of seven. His musical influences are John Legend, John Mayer, Bob Marley, Jonathan Butler, Leon Bridges, Hugh Masekela, and Miriam Makeba, just to name a few.
