Aaliyah's music to stream online in 2020
Updated | By Poelano Malema
Aaliyah's fans will soon be able to stream all her music on major music platforms.
It’s been 18 years since the ‘I miss you’ hitmaker passed, but her music lives on.
Barry Hankerson, the recording producer and Aaliyah's former manager, has tried very hard to keep her legacy alive.
He has now shared the news on Twitter that all her music will be available for streaming.
He wrote on Twitter: “We listened, this is not a drill in honor of the great legacy of #Aaliyah."
He then ended the tweet with “1/16/2020” – the day of Aaliyah’s birthday.
We surely can't wait!
Aaliyah passed away on August 25 in 2001. She died due to a plane crash in the Bahamas after filming the music video for the single 'Rock the Boat'.
She broke onto the music scene with the album 'Age Ain't Nothing but a Number' which sold over 3 million copies.
'Age Ain't Nothing but a Number' is currently available for streaming, but none of Aaliya's other albums.
Fortunately, from January, it seems Aaliyah's fans can get to enjoy streaming all her music.
