Happy International Chicken Wing Day!
Chicken wings remain a favourite across the globe, whether they’re served with crispy chips, potato wedges, a fresh salad or roasted vegetables. They are versatile and can be enjoyed as a snack, an appetiser, or a hearty main meal.
One of the best things about chicken wings is the variety of flavours you can create. Whether you’re in the mood for something sweet, spicy, sticky or tangy, there’s a recipe to suit every craving.
With winter in full swing in Durban, it’s a great time to enjoy meals made with ingredients commonly associated with the season. Ginger, and lemon are popular additions to winter dishes, not only because of their comforting flavours but also because of their nutritional value.
Ginger contains natural compounds with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties while lemons are rich in vitamin C.
By combining these ingredients with tender chicken wings, you’ll have a delicious meal that’s bursting with flavour and perfect for a cosy winter day.
