Officials plan to have Ugu declared a disaster area

Ugu's Deputy Mayor, Pumlile Mthiyane says with six confirmed deaths following last week's floods, teams are still working to recover more victims in the region.
Mthiyane spoke to Newswatch in KwaMasinenge in Margate - where all the relief donations collected at East Coast Radio House on Friday are being distributed by the Gift of the Givers.

She's described the damage as catastrophic - and says they'll be submitting a request for the region to be declared a disaster area.
