Calling all cycling enthusiasts, the Underberg Gran Fondo is back for a 2026 edition, promising an unforgettable day on cycling.
Taking place on 25 July 2026, the popular gravel cycling event welcomes riders of all experience levels. Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself over a long-distance route or simply enjoy a leisurely ride through one of KwaZulu-Natal’s most spectacular landscapes, there’s a race for you.
Participants can choose from three distances:
- 140 km – KZN Championship Distance
Elite–Veteran Men | Elite–Sub Veteran Women - 90 km – KZN Championship Distance
Masters+ Men | Veteran+ Women - 40 km – Tour de Farms
Perfect for riders wanting to experience the magic of gravel riding in the Southern Drakensberg.
One of the biggest highlights of the event is the route itself. Riders will cycle through the gorgeous Southern Drakensberg with mountain views. The gravel roads add an extra layer of adventure, while the challenging climbs make for a rewarding finish.
The Underberg Gran Fondo is more than just a race, it’s a family-friendly event. Friends and family are encouraged to come along to cheer on the cyclists, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a day out in the beautiful Underberg.
