Ready to paint the town pink? The Totalsports Women’s Race hits Durban this Sunday

Durban runners are laced up and ready to paint the town pink!

About 28 000 runners and walkers will usher in National Women’s Month at the Totalsports Women’s Race (TWR) on Sunday, 2 August 2026.

While entries to the most beautiful race are now closed, spectators are encouraged to join the activations along the way and cheer on their mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and neighbours along the 5km and 10km routes.

The race starts and finishes at Suncoast Casino, with the 10km setting off at 8am and the 5km at 8:30am, followed by a live performance by Busiswa after the event.

Beyond the fitness and fun, the race raises vital funds and awareness for PinkDrive, supporting breast cancer education and screening.

First launched in Cape Town in 2001, expanded to Johannesburg in 2007, and brought to Durban in 2011, the TWR remains the largest Women’s Day celebration in the country.
