Sugar Mac Festival returns for its 12th edition in KZN
The Sugar Mac Festival is back, promising two days of agricultural innovation, networking and family entertainment.
The highly anticipated Sugar Mac Festival is set to return for its 12th edition, bringing together farmers, industry leaders, exhibitors and families for two days of learning, innovation and entertainment.
Taking place from 8 to 9 July at the Umzinto Sports Ground in KwaZulu-Natal, the annual festival has become one of the province’s leading events celebrating South Africa’s thriving sugarcane industry.
The festival is expected to attract sugarcane growers, agricultural experts, entrepreneurs and exhibitors from across the country. Visitors can look forward to networking opportunities, expert advice, and the latest farming innovations designed to help improve productivity and sustainability.
In addition to the agricultural exhibitions, local businesses will showcase a wide range of products and services, while farmers will have an opportunity to display their produce and equipment. Visitors can also explore essential farming products and technologies that support the industry’s continued growth.
The event isn’t just for those in agriculture. Families can enjoy a variety of activities, including children’s entertainment, live music performances and a selection of food stalls offering something for every taste.
Tickets for the festival range from R30 for kids under 12, R50 for adults and pensioners above 65 do not pay an entrance fee.
Giving back to the community also remains a key part of Sugar Mac. This year’s chosen charity is Kwabadala Residential Care Facility, a home for senior citizens in KwaZulu-Natal.
This year, the festival is expected to deliver another memorable celebration of agriculture, innovation and community.
