Come and play with us! That’s the invitation from Stacey & J Sbu, who will be joined by Baryn Hulley.
Durbanites and families from surrounding areas are invited to the South Coast Children's Festival, taking place at the Blue Marlin Hotel this weekend. With a packed lineup of entertainment and activities, little ones are guaranteed a day of excitement and adventure.
Tickets cost R200 per person, while children under the age of three pay R150.
Why is this a must-attend event?
While the focus is on children, the festival offers plenty of entertainment that the whole family can enjoy.
One of the highlights will be appearances by beloved cartoon characters, giving children the opportunity to interact with their favourite stars in real life.
The festival will also host the Miss Scottburgh competition and a children’s fashion show, offering young aspiring models and fashion enthusiasts a chance to be inspired by the action on stage.
For children who enjoy testing their knowledge, a quiz competition will provide the perfect opportunity to showcase their talents and let their brilliance shine.
Future soccer stars can look forward to a mini soccer tournament, where they can enjoy friendly competition while dreaming about a future career in the sport.
Families can also unwind at the movie theatre area, while laughter is guaranteed with performances by Maccaroni the Clown.
More than just fun
The festival isn’t only about fun and entertainment. There will be a UCA educational talk designed to inspire and teach valuable lessons.
Those who enjoy competitions and surprises will also have the chance to win prizes during the prize-giving ceremony.
All of these activities will take place on Saturday, 6 June, from 11:00 until 17:00.
