Schalk Bezuidenhout's 'Hey Hey Divorcé' comedy show heading to KZN
Schalk Bezuidenhout is putting his divorce under the spotlight in 'Hey Hey Divorcé'.
South African comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout is heading to Durban and Ballito after a successful run of his hit comedy show, 'Hey Hey Divorcé', in Australia.
He is kicking off the SA leg of his tour in his hometown, Ballito, on May 12.
"Are you a divorcé? Have you ever gone through a divorce? Well, Schalk has! And lucky for you, he has to talk about it. Actually... he NEEDS to talk about it! Why? Because it's cheaper than therapy. That's why!" organisers said.
"Raw, real stand-up at its finest. And maybe even a single tear running down the left cheek. This is (hopefully, for the love of all things good) the first and only show about divorce Schalk will ever do, so it is not to be missed!"
Bezuidenhout will then head to Durban for four nights. His SA tour also includes stops in Pretoria, Sandton, the East Rand and Cape Town.
Bezuidenhout's comedy shows are popular overseas, especially in Australia, where he recently wowed audiences with over ten shows in March, April and early May.
"I know I have been overseas a lot this year, " he said in a video message to SA fans in March.
"I get a lot of messages asking, 'When are you doing the show, Hey Hey Divorcé? When is the South African date?'"
Some of the shows have already sold out, and tickets are selling fast for many dates.
"I will only do it in South Africa this year. So, please don't miss the show, because once it's done, it's done. There is only so long, and much, that I want to talk about my divorce," he teased.
