The Midlands Hot Wing Challenge and Market is the place to be this June if you want to watch a few brave souls set their taste buds on fire.
Just about every KwaZulu-Natalian has tried a spicy, hot bunny chow curry, but wolfing down one extremely hot wing after another in a competition is another story.
According to organisers, the challenge is "hotter than the surface of the sun".
This competition is serious business, and the wings are apparently hotter than anything you've ever eaten.
You may end up screaming for your mommy and begging for some milk.
"This is the definitive eating competition designed to find out who has the indestructible palate and the iron will to conquer Africa's fiercest heat. Competitors will face a five-round gauntlet of progressively devastating heat levels, each wing a step closer to fiery glory... or abject surrender," organisers said.
Speaking of your mommy, the whole family is welcome at the Midlands Hot Wing Challenge and Market.
There will be several food vendors and shops at the market to keep people busy.
Kids under 12 enter for free while spectators pay R30. Challenger entries are R250. These are the prizes up for grabs:
1st Place: R3500 CASH plus exclusive hampers for the winner
2nd Place: R1500 CASH and hampers
3rd Place: R500 CASH and hampers
Only one man or woman will be left standing, and hopefully, they will still be able to feel their taste buds.
