Familie Fest 2026: Live music for the whole family

The countdown to Familie Fest 2026 has begun.

Some of South Africa's top artists will be performing at the two-day festival, which takes place on Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 2026.

This year's line-up includes Kurt Darren, Carmen Rodrigues, Veranda Panda, Appel, Van Pletzen, The Kickstands, Lion & Bear, and Francois van Coke.

They'll be performing on day two of the event. Friday's lineup will feature some of the best acoustic sessions you will ever hear.

Attendees can look forward to good music, good food, arts & crafts, 4x4, races and more.

The family-friendly event also has activities for children. There will be a Kids Zone, Go Karts and paintball.

"A vibrant live music concert celebrating the joy of family and friends! Featuring a stellar lineup of South African bands, this all ages event promises unforgettable tunes, lekker vibes, and a day of togetherness under the open sky," organisers said.

Fitness-loving festivalgoers can also take part in the Famile Fest Trail Run taking place at 8 am on Saturday.

It's R60 for the 6km trail and R120 for the 12km. This does not include a festival pass.

If you are your family's go-to person for the best potjie, then the Kloof Roundtable Potjie Competition is a must-attend.

Entry costs R350 per team, including 3 members. There has to be at least one adult on the team.

Teams also need to bring their own ingredients and potjie pots. You are welcome to bring chicken, beef, lamb/mutton but no pork.

There are prizes for the best-tasting pot.

"Tasting bowls will be sold to the public on behalf of Roundtable at R30 each, all proceeds go towards community support."
