Who is taking part?
East Coast Drive's J Sbu will be participating in the upcoming hike, lending his voice and influence to a cause that continues to affect communities across South Africa.
What can participants expect?
This is more than a physical activity. Alongside the hike, a wellness village will be hosted, focused on mental health, self-care, and restoring a sense of hope and strength among participants. The event provides a platform for community dialogue, collaboration, and collective action, bringing together civil society, government, and private sector partners to champion safer communities for women, men, children, and vulnerable groups.
The primary objective is to mobilise communities, government, and the private sector to collectively address the urgent challenges of GBVFA while promoting health, wellness, and social cohesion through edutainment, dialogue, and collaborative engagement.
What are the important details?
The next hike takes place on 28 March 2026 at the Virginia Bush Nature Reserve and Virginia Cricket Sports Ground, starting at 07h00. Trails available are 2km, 4km, and 6km.
