The Umgeni Steam Railway has two special trips planned this weekend that will make for a memorable Easter.

The Inchanga Choo Choo has train rides on Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5. The rides, which depart from Inchanga Station, are suitable for the whole family.

"Enjoy breathtaking views, vintage charm, and unforgettable moments with family and friends along the way. Seats fill up fast, so grab your tickets and make this Easter one to remember aboard the Inchanga Choo Choo."

The Easter weekend is the perfect time to support the non-profit organisation and the team of volunteers who help make every ride enjoyable.

"Umgeni Steam Railway was formed in September 1982 by members of the Natal Branch of the Railway Society of Southern Africa in an effort to preserve our rapidly disappearing local railway heritage," the NPO says on its website.

Price: R250 per ticket for adults, R195 for children (2-12) and pensions (60+yrs)
Times on Saturday and Sunday: 09:00,  11:00, 13:00, 15:00

Bring extra cash to buy snacks and other refreshments. There are no ATMs available. (You can also use Zapper)
