Some of the best car shows are happening in KwaZulu-Natal, including a spinning battle taking place in Durban this weekend.
One motor show features an international star who has made appearances in movies such as 'Fast & Furious'.
Here's where you can see the coolest cars in KZN.
Red Bull Shay' iMoto
Sixteen of South Africa's top spinners will face off in Durban in the Red Bull Shay' iMoto competition. Jean 'Panjaro' Kruger will return to the city that made him a champion in 2025 to defend his title.
"Each driver will unleash 2:30 of nonstop spins through brutal obstacles, sliding targets, 360s in tight boxes, wall-kisses at insane speeds, and barrel drifts. Judged on control, creativity, style, and crowd frenzy by four experts plus fan votes via LED wristbands, it's precision meets performance art," Red Bull Shay' iMoto organisers said.
The judges for this year's competition are Jeff James, Lance Brophy, Sean February, and two-time champion Sam Sam.
Actress Hope Mbhele and Motorsport personality Vic Pardal will MC the event.

Vintage Sports Car Club's Standard Bank Cars in the Park
Expect to see timeless classics and rare collectables at the Vintage Sports Car Club's Standard Bank Cars in the Park.
The motoring event is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and pulling out all the stops to make it a memorable celebration.
"Recognised as South Africa’s oldest car showcase, Cars in the Park has been bringing together motoring enthusiasts for half a century. This landmark anniversary event promises an unforgettable day celebrating automotive heritage, craftsmanship and community. A Spectacular Showcase of Motoring History."
The family-friendly event will have entertainment for children, food stalls and live music.

Amber Glades Classic & Vintage Car Tour 2026
There is nothing more relaxing than a long drive on a Sunday. The Amber Glades Classic & Vintage Car Tour 2026 is the perfect time to "take in the beauty of the Midlands while celebrating classic motoring".
The tour route is about 99km and includes the following stops:
- Short coffee break at Fable Eatery, Curry's Post
- Scone and coffee at Fern Hill Hotel
- Quick stop at the main school bell on Hilton College's historic Circular Drive
There are also prizes up for grabs such as 'Top 3 Point Scorers', 'Best Dressed Driver and Navigator', 'Spirit of the Tour Award' and a consolation prize for the first breakdown.

Gas Motorshow International 2026
The Gas Motorshow is back, and attendees can look forward to "rare and high-end vehicles, custom builds, classics, supercars and bikes".
This year's show features an extra special guest, 'Fast & Furious' star Sung Kang. Kang, who is known for his iconic role as Han Lue, will give fans a sneak peek of his upcoming movie, 'Drifter'. One of the film's cars, a 1986 Toyota AE86 Corolla called Lola 2, will also be spotlighted at the event.

Shongweni Motor Show 2026
The 2026 Shongweni Motor Show is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a thrilling weekend showcasing a variety of vehicles, a craft market and live bands. There will also be a kids' play park and a beer garden.
"We have increased the event exhibitorship by 70 new exhibitor sites, which promises to be the largest gathering of South African Truck, Transport, Agriculture, Motor Trade, Outdoor, Hunt, Fish, Fire and General Industry exhibited at any event in Natal," organisers said.
