$1,5 mill mask

Of course, we wouldn't expect an 18-karat white gold mask that is decorated with 3,600 white and black diamonds to be cheap, but $1.5-million (R26-million) is A LOT of money we don't have.

Isaac Levy, the owner of the Yvel company responsible for making this erroneously expensive mask, said the buyer had some demands. He requested that it be completed by the end of the year, and that it would be the priciest in the world. He also asked that it be fitted with top-rated N99 filters.

Social media had a lot to say about the exorbitant mask, but for Levy, this opportunity is one he is grateful for because his employees get to keep their jobs during these tough economic times.

"I am happy that this mask gave us enough work for our employees to be able to provide their jobs in very challenging times like these times right now,” he said.
