The view outside on Diwali, Christmas, and New Year's is just magical.

This Christmas is no different and is all thanks to a Durban North resident, Gill Armour, who started a Facebook group to help people who would like to have information regarding the best views.

Christmas is literally two days away! Why not join this group to have one of those wholesome nights taking in the beauty of simple moments with family?

You will be able to watch the lights at different public parks, streets, and at some homes.

The Facebook group, Chasing the Christmas Lights, is where you will get the locations for you and your family to see these Christmas lights in Durban North and its surrounds.

She shared with Northglen News, “I actually started the page last year. I remember seeing so many comments on Durban North Neighbours and other Facebook groups asking, ‘Does anybody know where to find the best Christmas lights?’. An idea went off in my head and I thought ‘Why not start a page?’. That way, people could share where they’ve seen beautiful homes, businesses and public areas lit up."

Gill Armour shared that there are three locations that stand out with magical Christmas lights:

  • The Durban Botanic Gardens has the magical, outdoor Trail of Lights which is just a spectacularly visual treat for the eyes. It’s great for families, too.
  • Annie’s Busy Beez on Romsey Grove
  • Remax Glenashley on Newport Avenue.
