East Coast Breakfast's shortlist of South African 007 candidates

There have been rumours that Idris Elba will become the next James Bond, but Twitter took it upon themselves to see Elba’s latest tweet as a confirmation.

That talk was later shut down by another tweet by Elba.

As much as Idris would make a great fit, we think that there are some amazing South African candidates too.

Here are our top five South African picks to play James Bond:

However, there is one wildcard. It ain't a James Bond movie if Darren Maule isn't in it! Our final pick goes to the man himself...
