According to literally everyone, 'Twist' is the worst movie of 2021

It seems Rita Ora is receiving more backlash for her role in the movie, which has been adapted from the classic Charles Dickens novel, than she did for her lockdown escapades.

Everyone loves a good movie.

One that captures your attention, maybe leaving you at the edge of your seat, entertaining you for the full duration and during every second.

But people also love a good, bad movie.

Whether it be low-budget or terrible acting, watching a terrible movie every now and again for the sole purpose of laughing till your cheeks hurt, can be good for you.

Who really wants to watch Oscar-worthy performances all the time?

However, we do draw the line at amazing novels and books being turned into films that are insulting to the original author and the fans.

And clearly, people are feeling some kind of way about the latest adaption of a novel that many would argue has seen its fair share of movie magic - 'Oliver Twist' by Charles Dickens.

Looking at the cast, which features acting heavy-weights such as Michael Caine ('The Dark Knight' and 'The Italian Job') and Lena Heady (Cersei Lannister on 'Game Of Thrones'), one would expect some stellar performances?

Even Rita Ora, playing the role of the infamous Artful Dodger, and newbie actor Rafferty Law, son of Jude Law, had a chance to impress audiences.

Unfortunately, that was not the case and this movie will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

Many movie critics have given their honest and brutal opinions on the movie and there seems to be an overwhelming consensus that it is just not good.

And the platform of the people, Twitter, have also made up their minds:

However, although the reviews have been overwhelmingly terrible, there have been a few very positive ones between the negative.

(But looking at some of the Twitter handles, we would argue that these people might not have been capable of being too objective...)

At the end of the day, who are we to judge, and if you do decide to watch the movie, or you have already watched it, and you enjoyed it, then that is all that truly matters, right?

We just hope Rita won't be throwing any premiere parties...
