KZN fishing: Shad frenzy unfolds

KZN fishing: Shad frenzy unfolds

An explosive wave of predator fish has swept across KwaZulu-Natal's coastline. From Durban's surf to the far southern ledges, the sardines have arrived, igniting a widespread fishing frenzy.

Garrick, kingfish, shad, snoek, and tuna are now highly active in KZN waters. Anglers are reporting intense excitement amidst this coastal surge, with relentless action both offshore and onshore. The fishing fever extends inland too, with significant activity reported for trout and bass in the Midlands.

The "silver tide" of sardines is here, and following closely behind, a substantial wave of shad has gone wild, contributing to the intense fishing activity.
