Who is this actor?
I love him as an actor because he is in a lot of ways like a Robin Williams actor. Able to do Comedy and Drama equally well but it's when he plays in the space between the two that things get interesting.
He does funny and heart effortlessly.
You might remember him in comedy's like:
Get Smart or Date Night or Anchorman or 40 year Old Virgin. Or for his scene stealing role in Bruce Almighty which gained him a feature lead in the sequel Evan Almighty.
You might even recognise his voice from the animated movies Despicable Me or Horton Hears a Who or Over The Hedge.
You might not know him for his more mainstream/strait roles which require considerable more acting chops but his comic sensibility just humanises these performances more:
Dan in Real Life and Little Miss Sunshine (an absolute gem of a movie)
He has on occasion ventured completely away from his comedy comfort zone like in Stories USA.
His next jaunt has got to be his darkest to date and I for one cannot wait to see how he has sunk his teeth into the character of a paranoid schizophrenic in a biographical drama called Foxcatcher.
