THURSDAY 27 NOVEMBER

Steve Fataar & Friends @ LIVE
We gave you a heads up last week for this special event. We came close to losing our dear Steve Fataar earlier this year but being the legend he is he managed to pull through and insisted on sticking to tour dates while on the mend. Unfortunately his medical bills stretch longer than his career and so local artists and LIVE have come together to put on a concert to help raise money for our fav Flame. Tickets are R100 and for the full line up check out their site

FRIDAY 28 NOVEMBER

Litchi Party
Calling all Matric ragers. Exams are finished and it’s time to get into that summer groove! The Litchi Party team has created a ‘village’ hidden in the Ballito canefields filled with international and local DJs, stages, bars and jesters. There is camping available and some of my favourite local DJ’s are calling this the event of the year, quote-unquote. Get more details here

Shadow Club @ LIVE
Shadow Club is back in the 031 and we’re super stoked to have them. There’s no doubt they are one of South Africa’s leading Rock n Roll bands headlining festivals and clubs across the country. They’ve opened for big bands like Kings Of Leon, Bloc Party, Chevelle and Feeder. This is definitely a gig you don’t want to miss, especially if you’re hoping to avoid those rowdy Matric ragers ;)

Christmas Market @ The Grenada Square Umhlanga
It's the most wonderful time of the year! Get into the festive spirit for two special Christmas night markets under the stars in the heart of Umhlanga. There will be a market this Friday night and next week, also on Friday night. It’s a great way to avoid the Christmas rush. There are also artisan food stands and music.

SATURDAY 29 NOVEMBER

The Color Run @ SunKist lawns, Durban
It’s been claimed as the ‘happiest 5k on the planet’. Grab your tutus, your friends, and your running shoes and head to the start line for 5kms of pure happiness and fun. Get your tickets here

Manmarket @ The Duke and Duchess
This is the place you take the men in your life to and secretly buy their gifts. There will be cool vintage products, bikes, clothing, books, craft beer, accessories, and more up for grabs. Their Barber Shop, coffee and food will also be available. Get there between 11am and 3pm.

Bhakti @ The Playhouse
This dance production offers a unique journey into the eastern mystical philosophy and African contemporary dance rhythms. Featuring the legendary Madala Kunene and the flat foot dance company. Choreographed by Lilane Loots. It’s set to be a goodie. Tickets are R80 through Computicket.

SUNDAY 30 NOVEMBER

Midlands Ultra Triathlon @Midmar Dam
Set in the heart of KZN’s beautiful midlands area this exciting series is now in its sixth year. It’s set at Midmar dam and if you’re not an Iron Man yourself, why not head up to support the strong men and women battle it out. For more info check out their website
