The Ultimate Top Gear Winner

Tyron Powell won our Top Gear competition, which will see him driving to a secret location with Darren Maule for the ultimate petrol head experience. 

 

Here are his Top 20 reasons why he is the ultimate Top Gear fan and why he deserves this exclusive Top Gear prize. He totally convinced us!

 

Take a look:

 

1) He has been to every single Top Gear show since they started and were called MPH at the Coca Cola dome in JHB.

 

2) He has bought tickets already to this year’s Top Gear festival

 

3) He has the Top Gear soundtrack on a CD in his car

 

4) He is an absolute Ferrari & Lamborghini Nut and went to Italy specifically to go to the museums at the factories and was not worried about anything else in Italy, no sightseeing was done!

 

5) He is planning to go over to the UK next year to the Goodwood Festival of speed and going to try see if he can get into the audience on a Top Gear episode.

 

6) He has a Stig Soap on a rope and Stig body wash which he got sent to him from relatives in the UK. And he has an "I AM THE STIG" shirt!

7) He has a personalized license plate with THE STIG-ZN on it and his fiancé managed to get Jeremy, James and Richard to sign it as they had front row tickets in 2012 at Moses Mabida.

8) He was a member on the BMW club and a member of the committee and used to participate in Auto-crosses until his business started taking up too much of his time but he still goes and watches every auto cross.

 

9) He has a book collection which consists mainly of car books and a lot of them are Ferrari books.

 

10) He has a Ferrari clock on his lounge wall which he had made.

 

11) He has a pair of bright red Fila Ferrari shows that are about 10 years old but only get worn on Valentine’s Day! - LOL

 

12) If he spots a sports car or something special driving on the road, he will follow it around just to see all the different angles of the car and to hear the engine and exhaust sound.

 

13) Whenever he goes to JHB or CT, his GPS already has all the coordinates of Investment cars, motor stars, Franchoek motor museum, Viglietti Motors, Ferris etc. programmed in and he doesn’t  leave before he has been to all of them.

 

14) He has a DVD collection of all Clarkson's videos and Top Gear videos, as well as many other DVDs of cars (about 40 in total)

 

15) His dog's name is California after the Ferrari California.

 

16) He is getting married in June and all the table names are Ferrari names.

 

17) He has a Ferrari body wash and Ferrari cologne.

 

18) He has a collection of Ferrari models on glass shelves in his office.

 

19) He had a Ferrari track day experience at Swartkops in a Ferrari 360 Challenge

 

20) And lastly because he has watched every Top Gear season 1 to 20 and all episodes.. And he has started watching the Australia and US versions too....
