The Caribbean team were 151 all out in the 33rd over.

The South Africans posted a massive total of 408/5, with captain AB de Villiers top scoring with an unbeaten 162 off just 66 balls.

It's the highest ODI team total on Australian soil. De Villiers now has the fastest 50, 100 and 150 in ODI cricket.

South Africa's top order batsmen also came to the party. Hashim Amla scored 65, Faf du Plessis made 62, and Rilee Rossouw, who spent some time at the crease with De Villiers for a 134-run partnership,  contributed 61 runs.

The Protea bowlers were also impressive. Legspinner, Imran Tahir, claimed a career-best figures of 5-45 in 10 overs while Kyle Abbot, also of the Sunfoil Dolphins, took 2-37 in 8 overs, including the scalp of big hitter Chris Gayle for a measly 3 runs.

The Proteas, who are now second behind India in the group, will play Ireland in their next Pool B match on Tuesday at the Manuka Oval in the Australian capital, Canberra.
