Comrades Marathon grocery list 2015
Refreshment stats for the 2015 Comrades Marathon have been confirmed.
There will be 46 refreshment stations along the 87.72km route this year.
The following will be at the disposal of Comrades runners on Sunday:
Coke – 30 350 litres
Fanta/Crème Soda – 10 650 litres
Coke paper cups (175ml) – 450 000
Energade sachets (150ml) - 1.1 million
Water sachets - 2.1 million
Megaload sachets – 100 000
Mageu Number 1 sachets – 10 000
Bananas – 800kg
Oranges – 7.8 tons
Boiled potatoes – 3 tons
Biscuits – 1.3 tons
Racefood honey nougat energy bars – 20 000
Comrades 2015 will take place this Sunday.
The race will start in Durban and end in Pietermaritzburg.
