Photo of mom breastfeeding on loo goes viral
Updated | By Staff Writer
Elisha captioned it: “This is motherhood and it ain't always pretty. What's your #momtruth?”
There’s been a massive debate on social media about the image – with some slamming Elisha, saying it’s not only an over-share, but totally unhygienic too.
Others have supported her.
Comments include: “When babies are hungry, you feed them. That's the way it works, not negotiable!” and “Thank you for sharing these real moments! This is straight up what being a mom is like.”
Elisha, who describes herself as a "mom, wife, arts educator, foodie, nauralista and more" on her Instagram page, shared the story behind the photo with CBS Los Angeles, saying that she had gone into the bathroom alone on a Saturday morning – thinking that her two kids (aged four years and 11-months) were still sleeping.
But her daughter followed her into the bathroom. “She followed me in and created a trail of mess straight to me and was ready for her morning feed and I just said to my husband, ‘Hey, come look at this. You’ve got to see this,’ ” she said.

Her husband (TV actor Michael Beach, who has starred in Sons of Anarchy and ER) took the pic – which she later shared on Instagram.
She said she wanted to show people what real-life motherhood is like.
"I just see so many moms doubting what they do every day or feeling judged, and it’s like the media doesn’t really portray what motherhood is,” she said.

When I first saw it I thought - I can so identify with the whole not having a second for yourself scenario!
I remember when my kids were this age they would all follow me to the loo - including the cat Fanta I might add!
When I cracked a solo loo trip I used to find myself just sitting still taking in the quiet.
This invasive image of a suckling tot makes me think, wow, how open and honest is this mom - because the life of a mom is anything but glamorous, but the 'Too Much Information' line is thin, right?
