Cyclist hit by truck in Shaka's Kraal
A cyclist has been killed after being hit by a truck on Link road, near Shaka's Kraal, in the Ilembe District this morning.
The man had been part of a group who had been cycling when they approached a sharp bend on the road.
Netcare 911's Chris Botha says one other cyclist sustained minor injuries.
"Paramedics tried to to resuscitate him on scene but tragically he was declared dead after they worked on him for about 45 minutes", he said.
"Police are on scene and busy investigating the accident", Botha said.
