Baby's body found in Durban North
Updated | By Nondumiso Zakwe
KZN police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says the baby was found along Riverside Road yesterday.
Zwane is calling on anyone with information to come forward.
''Up to now there has been no arrests made and we are appealing to anyone who might have information about the suspect's whereabouts to come forward and give us the information so that the suspect can be arrested,'' he said.
Crisis Medical's Kyle Van Reenen says the child was found in a black plastic bag.
''It was discovered by bystanders while they were jogging along the road. Crisis Medical paramedics were called into the scene and on further investigation it was discovered that it contained the body of a new-born baby.
''Unfortunately, the baby had already succumbed to the elements,'' he said.
