This is why you should not breastfeed after you've had a spray tan!

Breastfeeding can be one of the most difficult and stressful parts of being a mum.

So spare a thought for poor Gemma Colley who discovered, all too late, the pitfalls of feeding her new born baby after a spray tan.

Gemma Colley from the UK shared a photo of her new son with a weird brown patch on his face after a breastfeeding session.

It seems that Colley had breastfed her baby son too soon after having a spray tan, leaving the infant with an odd-looking brown patch over his entire face.

Colley posted the picture on The Unmumsy Mum Facebook page and wrote:

"From one mum to another, I'd like to let you know about my epic fail of fails.

"Yesterday I had a spray tan, a few hours later I breastfed my little boy. Cue 5 o'clock shadow and a very guilty mummy.

"Lesson to you all. Don't do this."

Thankfully, the baby's face was distinctly less orange the following day, as Gemma shared a snap of her son peacefully snoozing.

She wrote: "Thanks for all the positive comments.

"I'm just another mummy trying to shed light on the adventures and misadventures of being a parent."
