Dale Steyn on the big screen!
Last year, Steyn spent a few weeks in the US filming alongside Adam Sandler and other big names in the romantic comedy, Blended.
About landing the role, Steyn said: "They wanted a professional cricketer to act and a bodyguard, who is also a South African, suggested my name.
Blended, which was released in May, is a romantic comedy featuring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.
After a blind date gone horribly wrong, Jim (Adam Sandler) and Lauren (Drew Barrymore) agree they never, ever want to see each other again. Well, that's all about to change when the two find themselves and their respective families (including children) all stuck together in one suite at an African Safari holiday spot.
The Protean seamer makes an appearance as a bowler in the film, and is seen bowling to a boy to teach him the game. The 31-year-old shot the film after the Champions Trophy in 2013. Former NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal was also part of the film.
And while Steyn enjoyed his acting debut, he told Mid-day.com that he has no plans of pursuing a career in the glamour world.
