The big yellow tour bus carrying Darren Maule, Natarah Nadesan and the rest of the team pulled into Nottingham Road on Monday afternoon after a rocking time in Port Shepstone.

Not to be outdone, Notties’ residents showered the team with loads of love, coffee, pizzas and other goodies during their three hour live broadcast on Tuesday.

Darren, Natarah-From-A-Far-Rah, Good Guy Gabe and Gorgeous George got down to the serious business of beer-making, with a quick course at Notties Brewery. (Some members of the team were more serious – and happy - about this than others. But we’re not mentioning any names….)

Speaking of names, Darren being the kind-hearted soul that he is, has decided to spread some Notties cheer to the entire province! So if you think you’ve got what it takes to name and design a label for the exclusive East Coast Breakfast brew, you could win yourself an internship at one of the advertising agencies in Durban. While the team snuggled into bed last night, Stunt Guy K-K-K-Kevin spent the night in the most haunted room in KZN: Number 10, Notties Hotel. Armed with a healthy dose of bravado and infrared cameras, Kevin was all prepped for a visit by legendary in-house ghost, Charlotte. So what went down? Was he Nottie alone? Did he get caught in Charlotte’s web? Well, one thing’s for sure, K-K-K-Kevin seemed a little rattled this morning. “Let’s just say I went in there last night prepared to say that nothing happened,” he says. “I wasn’t going to just make up stuff for a sensational story. But yoh! What I experienced was nothing short of creepy.”

The broadcast of the show this morning saw scores of local residents streaming into Rawdons Hotel between 6am and 9am to say hi to Darren and Natarah and share a cup of coffee and muffins with the team. Little Kylin Mohanlal popped in too to take on the special kids' edition of The Grand Challenge. The nine-year-old Howick Prep pupil missed out on a perfect 10, but his fantastic score of 9/10 made him a superstar in everyone’s eyes! Way to go Kylin!

And before they knew it, it was time to say to say goodbye. “Thank you to all the amazing people here at Nottingham Road! We’ve had an incredible time. This is a magnificent part of KZN! We loved visiting, meeting old friends and making new ones. It’s been amazing!” says Darren.

The East Coast Radio Breakfast Tour bus now heads north to Newcastle for the fourth stop of the team’s province-wide tour. Come laugh your 'peep' off with Darren at Mid City Grill restaurant at the Black Rock Casino, Newcastle, tonight!

The tour wraps up in Durban’s Florida Road on 29 July but before then, the team will be road tripping to Pietermaritzburg (after Newcastle), Richards Bay and Eshowe.
