Best of the red carpet at the SAFTAs 2015

TV soap Isibaya was the big winner at this weekend’s SAFTAs. Isibaya claimed the best TV Soap award - as well as six other accolades, including best costume design, best art/design production, best editing, best cinematography, best scriptwriting and best directing. 

Feature film Four Corners also had a great weekend, scooping four awards – including the coveted Best Feature Film.

To add to this, Four Corner’s lead actor Jezriel Skei scooped best actor, while Brendon Daniels won best supporting actor. 

Masasa Mbangeni won Best Actress in a Lead Role for her role as Thembeka in Scandal! while Best Actor in a Lead Role went to Jamie Bartlett for playing David Genaro in Rhythm City.

The Life Time Achiever Award went to Marius Weyers. His career has spanned nearly 50 years during which time he has appeared in over 35 feature films, numerous television productions and 115 theatre productions.
