Woman's body found in Umlazi local stream
Umlazi police are probing the death of a 42-year-old woman whose body was found in a local stream yesterday.
Officers from the SAPS and eThekwini Metro Police search and rescue units were called out to recover the woman's partially decomposed remains at around midday.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane, says an inquest docket's been opened for further investigation.
"We can confirm that an inquest case has been opened at Umlazi police station after a partially decomposed body was found at E section in Umlazi. Members of Search and Rescue teams were called out to where the body was. The recovered it and handed it over to police for further investigation," Zwane said.
